The students can use it when they go on a field trip.
The iPod and iPad is very convenient. It is a mini portable computer.
The students can use the camera to take pictures of objects to represent a vocabulary word.
They then can transfer the pictures to a slide show and present it to the class.
I would use the devices as centers, on field trips and project based assignments.
To manage the devices, I would have a one person in charge of checking them in and out. One person as the
technology geek to help others on apps. When I use the computers in the classroom, I use a rotating system to allow each student to have time.
I can not wait to get them!!!
Sounds like you have some terrific plans for using the devices! It won't be long! We highly suggest you consider whole class Skyping sessions to get started. You can hook up the netbook to the Activboard and use it that way!
